Getting the job done on a tight schedule.

With time running short on its current vendor's fleet management contract, the city of Chelsea, Mass., decided it was time to look for a more dynamic vendor—a company that would bring new energy and vision to get past "business as usual." With only a few weeks to bid, Penske was able to submit the right proposal to meet the city's needs. But the hardest part was still to come. The departing vendor refused to sell Penske its inventory, and it took some mechanics with it. We worked with the city to rapidly bring in equipment and personnel. At 6 a.m. on day one, Penske was ready and able to begin its contract work.
